Magic Pump started with a simple thought - there must be an easier way
In 2014, Ken, a retired fitter and turner, was doing pool maintenance work in South Africa. One of the toughest jobs was changing pool filter sand. It was messy, slow, and hard on the body.
After one too many difficult jobs, he decided to do something about it.
Working from a garage, Ken teamed up with Kaye, a marketing professional and busy mum, to create a better solution. Through trial and error, they developed a simple but powerful tool that could lift sand and water quickly and cleanly.
The goal was always the same make difficult, messy jobs easier
Early customers quickly saw the value. What started as a tool for pool sand changes soon proved useful for many other jobs, including unblocking drains and cleaning ponds and aquariums and messy grey water transfer jobs.
